I still can't find all of my essences. I am missing my Perelandra and Alaskan Gem Essence sets. I love them, they are great allies, and they are missing. Perelandra's Garden Essences kick ass in a way all their own, and the Alaskan Gem Essences offer stability and structure unique to the crystalline structure of gems, connecting us to the Cosmos and ourselves, opening doors and firming the ground beneath our feet. I miss my friends.
I was sure I had narrowed down their elusive location, and set off to the storage yard to rescue them. I opened every box in that container to no avail. I found herb books, beloved information. This is the same container where my perennials are overwintering, and the moisture from the soil is raising the humidity in the container enough to soften cardboard and penetrate my books. AACK! Not my books!
Today I am happy for Colorado's semi-arid climate. I'll be removing those plants in a few weeks, and with frequent trips to the container, the humidity will equalize. Eventually.

When is the last time you blew bubbles on a sunny day?
Yesterday I tackled a Rubbermaid tote of bathroom stuff. I packed it 2 moves ago, and once when I peeked inside, I realized something had leaked. I immediately put the lid back on the tote and set it aside. I really couldn't deal with it during that acutely stressful period of time.
Well, my spiffy new haircut had me hunting for my old curling iron. (The one my Mom gave me in Junior Highschool) I was sure it would be in that tote if I still had it. I was afraid it would be moldy, since I hadn't dealt with that leak, but now seemed like a good time to take care of that. It turned out the bottom had broken out of a bottle of shampoo. The bottom of the tote was covered in gooey shampoo, and anything that could have molded, did. Gross.
I threw things away. I wiped other things off. I found some awesome bath salts, fabulous handmade soaps, girly stuff to put in my hair, and Bubbles!! I'm rather excited about the bubbles! I think those bubbles are my reward for cleaning out that yucky tote. For throwing things away, for setting things aside to donate, and for determining to use up those nice pampering products instead of hoarding them for someday that will never come if I'm always saving them for later.Anything contaminated with mold got tossed, but most things were in glass or plastic and could be washed off.
I didn't find my curling iron, but I had a joyful moment in the backyard today, blowing bubbles in the sunlight.
